I'm doing the "explore the ocean" quest and I met the merfolk but I keep healing these coral sites and it seems endless.
#How do I complete the goal called "Follow the retreating root"?

You met them a stage too early. Check the map and see what little icons aren't yellow signifying completion (it can easily be missed). The root guides you along to where you need to heal the ocean.

but, how does someone keep track of where the root last was, like are there any visuals that show that guide after it's animation dissapears
