Critter trap does not work always

I was looking for some specific ocean critter and put 4 traps in some clear terrain, but even after I put scent on them there were not any catch on them on the next 2 days. I was wondering if it was because of the terrain, that it was kind of a slope and maybe that affected the trap. So i moved 2 of them to a flat area and they worked! I dont know if it is because of the slope o maybe that specific area doesnt allow critters to spawn. Refer to my two videos, in one im removing the traps and place them again, 2 on the slope and other 2 on the flat terrain. I put scent on all 4. The second video is me returning the next morning, there is critters on my flat terrain traps but not on the slope.

Reproduction Steps: put a critter trap on a tilted terrain on 50 m area. Put scent on them, then wait till the next morning, theres no catch.
Repro Rate: i waited 2 days for a catch to appear, then i did this experiment and recorded it.
Game Platform: Steam
Game Version: 1.1 - 1225
Input Mode: Xbox controller.

I attached the save of the day i put the traps, but not the day that i went to check bc i only went to check the traps and quit the game. But let me know if you do need it.

Also having the same issue. Unsure if it is because of the slope or not, as most of my traps are near the fast travel spawn points which are usually flat. This is happening to both types of my underwater traps - crawler and float.

Steam PC, fully update to date and mouse/keyboard.

Yeah my first theory is that its bc the terrain isnt flat. But I think it could be that some specific areas dont allow critters to spawn, thats why i put my traps in a area that I have seen critters in the video.

Also I did put a trap on the 10 m orchestra area just in front of the giant shell and it didint trap anything, but since I didnt put any scent on it i though it was bc of that. Going to try again putting a trap with scent and see if it works.

Yeah I've definitely used scents with the traps and have gotten nothing. I'll try moving them a little further from the spawn points or any other features to see if that helps.

the bug is still here. the floating trap didnt caught anything

the crawling trap does caught but the floating didnt caught anything on floor 50 & 40
