trash collector disappeared

I left my auto trash collector inside the first level of the empat pulu cave and it vanished.
I play on Xbox series S, it's spring 24 year 3.

I do not, unfortunately. But here are more details: I got the trash collector at the lab, went into the ocean and left it on the sea floor, right outside the cave. The next day I went back and saw that it hadn't collected that much trash, so I got the collector, went into the cave and checked to see if I could leave it there. The game allowed it, so I put it inside the cave and left. A few days later, I went to check the cave and it wasn't there at all. I checked outside and in my inventory and it had vanished.

Have you guys read the wiki?
It specifically says the trash collector disappears when left in a cave. So not a bug afaik.

The trash collector is useless if you ask me. It's unlocked around the time you don't need it.

I only read the wiki when I need something, it's not something I casually open when I want to get some light reading done. There's a lot of bugs included in the wiki too, so it doesn't mean it's supposed to happen. If the game doesn't explicitly tell you it's going to erase an item you bought, and then goes ahead and does that, then it's either a bug or a badly made flow. It shouldn't allow you to place an item in the cave if it's not supposed to be left there, especially when it's expensive.

I agree about the uselesness of the trash collector, though. I would expect it to collect hundreds of garbage every day and it doesn't. Not worth the items you invest to create it.
