Got Stuck During Pet Race

During the race when other people and pets passed me they were clipping me and causing my pet to stop. Twice I turned around and got him back to keep going. Then one of the characters clipped us here and I couldn't get him to move again. I tried until the race timed out with no luck.

I left the game right after the race without saving. My only save file is waking up the morning of the festival if that would be helpful?

We would like to follow up on that issue again. If you participate in the pet race again next year, does the issue still occur in your game?

I haven't gotten to the pet race for the next year. I'm about halfway through my second Spring. I will leave an update here after the pet race.
