Merfolk take on each others' words even when it doesn't make sense

I have just talked to the manta oracle lady and she said these exact words to me, about the various sea caves I now have access to. This can't possibly be the dialogue of this random passerby.

Reproduction Steps: I talked to the oracle, I swam around the merfolk kingdom and talked to this guy. He was near the fast travel gate at around 20.00
Repro Rate: I have only come across it in this specific way once, but I also talked with a rajah pufferfish and then to some other merfolk, and hte merfolk did the same thing.

I have just had the same bug. I entered the Merfolk area for the first time today. Whenever I meet a new merperson for the first time, their sentence is that of whichever person I spoke to last. Last night, they all repeated the last words I heard as part of the "Meet the King" storyline. Today, every new person I meet says "Once you have donated enough books, see me for your rewards" (or something like this). I came here straighth from the library.

Unknown if this bug would be the same if I was meeting any land townies for the first time, as obviously I've already met them all.
