1.1-1225 did not fix the inventory problems for me

• Title Hotfix 1.1-1225 did not fix the inventory issues
• Reproduction Steps I am running 1.1-1225 and I am having the same problem. I did NOT save my game after 1.1-1224. Most of my tools are fine but my silver axe is reverted to basic axe. I also had a sword and combat axe and some bombs and some mayo deposited into my inventory. When I walked out of my house, I got a message that I received a Damaged Book. I can access the library drop box as though I am holding a book to donate, but there is nothing showing to donate. The blacksmith does not have my silver axe; there is no tool retrieval option.

It didn’t work for me either: my silver scythe and bronze pick axe are both still at the basic level, and there’s no retrieval option at the blacksmith.

Hello there! Thank you for sharing your report here. Can you let us know the in-game date the first time when you Retrieve the tools to get the tools back?

Could you also share your Backup folder in a zip file here?
To find it, you can copy-paste this file path: %localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames\Backup

Hello! The tools were a silver scythe (downgraded to basic) and bronze pick axe (downgraded to basic as well). The issue occurred after updating to 1.1-1224. I have since updated to 1.1-1225 but the tools have stayed at the basic level. I hope that answers the questions, please let me know if you need any other details!

I’m also not sure if this is relevant, but I play on a Steam Deck, if that makes a difference !

I see! So after the update 1.1-1225, you went to Blacksmith, and the Retrieve Missing Tools option did not appear, right?
To help us take a look closer, could you send your save file here too?

For Steam Deck, your save file is most likely stored in the 'compatdata' directory.
The file path is /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata.

From there, you will see many folders with random numbers. The Coral Island folder should have the code number '1158160'.
Enter that folder, then navigate to the pfx folder, then drive_c folder.

Follow this path: Users<username>\AppData\Local\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames

Well recieved! Oh, do you still remember the in-game date when the downgraded tools occurred in your save file?
Also, the date when you try to go to the Blacksmith to Retrieve them?

Sure. I first retrieved my tools on this savegame the very first day of the game (I skipped the intro cutscenes because I'd seen them before and didn't get my tools).

I’m not sure if the tools downgraded on Y1 Summer 11 or Summer 12. I tried to retrieve on Summer 13 but didn’t save when I couldn’t retrieve them. However!!! I just loaded the game up today and they were both at the blacksmith! I’m not sure what happened between today and yesterday, but I’m now able to retrieve both missing tools. 😄

Hi Couer! Thank you for providing the details too! We've checked your save file and it appears that the Axe is still in the process of upgrading.
Have you tried to go to the next day and try to go to the Blacksmith again to get your Axe by Retrieve the Tools? Thank you!

I wasn't having this problem until today. My tools are fine (all the levels they should be), but items I got in the spring were added to my inventory (It's summer 16 right now).
In the video you'll see that I have voilet, black widow spider, 2 earth gems, 5 fish tacos, green tea, and a muffin; all of which were not there when I played last.
It's like a portion of the inventory I had for Spring 22 pulled forward. I know it was around spring 22 because the tea and muffin were in my inventory to give to Ben and Aaliyah for their birthdays that day.

Well that's embarrassing for me lol. When I saw I had a basic axe in my inventory I assumed the worst, but I had just forgotten the axe was in the shop since there's not any reminders or anything and it'd been a few irl days since I played. Thanks for looking into it!

Hi, I did not think anything of it, but I realized in the last couple of days (IRL) that my tools were messed up. I had all osmium tools besides my watering can and hoe, which I believe were both silver (3x3). The watering can and hoe are still silver, but the rest of my tools were osmium and are now gold. I remember when I first logged in being upset because my entire inventory was out of order, and then a few days later I realized that my tools were gold. I played through both Walter's birthday (Spring 20) and the Tree Planting Festival (Spring 21). I may have started earlier, but I honestly can't recall.

No worries! I’ve been there too—I once forgot my Scythe was being upgraded and ended up reporting it as missing to the dev team. Lol!

Hi Hi Altotae! I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Have you tried to Retrieve your downgraded tools in Blacksmith or Beach Shack?

Hi Rachma, now I feel dumb. I went there before but didn’t read the text and saw I couldn’t collect upgraded tools. Just logged in and saw the “find my lost tools” menu line 🫠 thanks for helping!
