Throwing this here, too. My tools reset to bronze as soon as I logged on after the hotfix. Also, I randomly got a hammer in my inventory that I no longer use and had deleted months earlier. But my osmium pixkaxe and scythe were changed to bronze, and my silver axe was changed to a normal axe with no upgrades.
