Tools duplicated and downgraded when enchanting

I had a quick look around and it seems this is an old bug that has returned, maybe mixed with the new downgraded tools bug? I went to enchant my axe on Fall 24th, and I believe it was at the exact moment I clicked on the pedestal to enchant that the duplication happened. The bug gave me a second basic hoe, and bronze scythe and pickaxe, and downgraded my axe from silver to basic.

I tried replaying the day and woke up with the downgraded tools already in my inventory, with the 5 emeralds still (ended the day before with just axe and 5 emeralds ready for enchanting) but the rest of my tools minus silver axe in one of my chests.

I then went back to Fall 23rd and still had the duplicated tools, but when I checked in on the tools in my chests my silver axe had returned but gold scythe disappeared. This is the picture with the flatworm in my inventory.

I’m honestly not sure if I’ve got the duplication bug or downgraded tools bug, as it’s possible I just missed seeing all the tools in my inventory on the original Fall 24th, or a mix of the two.

I will say I also often "go to bed" with only my scythe in my inventory and the rest of my tools in a chest, if this is related to the downgraded tools bug. I had the tree planting energy bug, but didn't faint and lose my tools then.

I've also been playing for a fair few hours today, and only just had this issue pop up, I believe after I took a quick break. I'm guessing my game might have updated to 1.1-1224 during that time, although could not say with any certainty as I wasn't paying attention previously.

Hi there! Thank you for your report. Do you happen to have a video of when you enchant the Tools and it got duplicated and downgraded? Thank you!

Unfortunately not :/ the more I read into the downgraded tools bug, the more I think this is what is going on for me and not the enchantment duplication bug. I left all but the axe in a chest and they were fine, the new tools that popped up in my inventory probably were the same quality I had when I did the Tree Planting Festival.
