My inventory is incorrect and I have lost osmium tools.

Tools I recently updated to Osmium are back to gold. Tools I upgraded to osmium months ago seem to be uneffected by this???
Luckily the farm and the chests don't seem to be effected either. Just the inventory is full with things from a long time ago. (I know cause I got all the food i was gifting townies in my inventory again when I had removed them about a month ago)

Getting materials and money back isn't going to help with the time it takes to upgrade, the fact you can only upgrade one at a time, and all the stuff you wouldn't be able to do while the tools are being upgraded.

I managed to by some crazy luck copy my save before i updated because I was about to try and marry a few of the bachelors to see their wedding scenes. I will be attaching both the preupdate and the postupdate.

Before the hotfixes, i only have all tools except fishing rod and bug net in my inventory. And after the hotfix, suddenly the fishing rod and bug net were on my inventory. My item that was in my inventory (before the hotfix) is the item that sent by the mails, as shown in the picture.

• I did not experience the Tree Planting Festival issue/never had tools disappear/did not faint.
• I had the Axe, Pickaxe, Scythe, and Watering Can upgraded to bronze previously, and all have been downgraded to basic. Fishing Pole, Net, and Hoe were all basic still.
• All tools were on the Toolbelt. Note that before the update, I had my Gold-Encrusted Hammer on my Toolbelt, but it's been moved and instead a Blunt Sword is there (which I did not have on me and was previously in a storage bin. It's no longer in the storage bin).

I did attempt to reload a backup save, but the issue persisted.

Unfortunately I do not have a before pic of my tools/inventory before the update, but I did include the after pic. I also included a zipped folder of my saves!

**Here's my recommendation to any players who want any hope at retrieving their old tools
**
Go to your backup folder (located in C:\Users[UserName]\AppData\Local\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames
Create a copy of your backup folder and place it on your desktop or wherever accessible!

WHATEVER YOU DO, do NOT launch any of these backups. It seems that they only get corrupt when you launch them, where the game reverts the savefile to your last tree festival inventory.

Once they release a hot fix, then you at least have some backup files that will likely be untainted by this bug.

I know this because I was in Year 3, and had osmium tools at the time of the year 3 tree festival. All of my tools have reverted to silver and gold.

TLDR from our convos:

We believe what the bug is doing is taking the Toolbar from the last Tree Planting Festival attended and overwriting everyone's current Toolbar with that.

• Screenshots in this message show that Azure's current toolbar is exactly the same as during their last attended Tree Planting Festival
• Believe it's limited to Toolbar only as I have items in my backpack that I definitely didn't have at the fesitval

Same happen to me after logging today, My main hotbar was all messed up having some old stuff i haven't use in a while, The picture inside the greenhouse was 2 days before my current day and i can see all my osmium tools, my purple sword was replaced with a dagger i used before, even some items in my inventory went back like 2 swim speed rings and one tool speed, not just that, my watering can went back into my inventory and i check out my usual chest and was there too.

1.- Im at the end of my second year, so when i went into this planting festival everything was fine.
2.- Tools were all osmium with the exception of my watering can wich was just silver.
3.- Hoe went down from osmium to silver, and bug net/fishing pole went down to gold.
4.- With exception of my watering can, all of them are usually on my bag.

All of my tools were downgraded from a mix of gold/ silver to standard beginner tools. I did not experience any issues with the tree planting festival, and they were all in the top row of my inventory. I went to try and upgrade my axe again to bronze before I saw this was a known bug and it took my money and bronze bars but I still have my axe in my inventory (I'm not sure if that's relevant but including just in case)

I didn't have any fainting issues with the tree fest (I haven't even done the festival for year 2 either) and the only tool that I have the problem with is my syth it was silver and now its just the basic first one, my scythe was first in my tool bar I have duplicates of my net fishing rod and axe and a bunch of other items I didn't have before (I had an oil maker and three wakame in my inventory before the bug it was those two and my sythe)

My inventory had various things added inserted in. The stack of 17 candies is the first thing in my inventory that was unaffected (I didn't have the blunt sword in my inventory). It could be that these were the quality of my tools at the time of the tree festival because I remember upgrading my watering can first. I did not faint at the tree festival, I completed the activity.

My saved game file isn't in the traditional spot either. The easiest way I've found to locate it is to go to the Windows directory on drive C;, the do a search for a "*.sav" file. That's the asterisk key, BTW, found on most keyboards by pressing the SHIFT key and the number 8. Look for the one under the, "Coral Island Project" folder. This search may take a few minutes to run, but it should turn up the file eventually.

Sounds logical I’ll go and check because I only recently did the festival and had didn’t faint but it did use energy, and I didn’t have the upgrades yet. I’ve only been playing for 35 hours but have some silver and bronze and all enchanted items so it’s easy to see if there is a connection there.

My pickaxe and scythe went from Silver down to basic stone, and my bugnet, fishing pole and hoe went from bronze down to basic stone. My axe was luckily at the blacksmith during this time so unaffected. I don't think I had any issues at the Tree Planting Festival, and all my affected tools were in the bag inventory when it happened.

I really hope the fix can take us all back to where we were originally at with the tool upgrades, coz just thinking abt having to re-do all those tool upgrades is so tedious :/

After Hotfix Update, my osmium watering can and spade downgraded to bronze. My gold axe and pick were downgraded to silver. My silver net and fishing pole were downgraded to bronze. All of my tools were in my inventory. Prior to the hotfix, my gold axe was at the blacksmith for an osmium upgrade. The rest of my tools were in my inventory. I never fainted at the Tree Planting Festival, nor had my tools disappear.

• I was in the harvest festival day 15 of autum of the year 2, then i played this day 3 times, the first time i start the contest before put my products, so i forced close the game. The second time i put my products but the game frozen and i have to force close again. I have a problem with all of the tools except for the sword because I bought another one from BDS. All of them were osmium quality but now they look like the picture.

Similar issue here, opened my game and my axe, hoe and pick axe were duplicated. My bronze net completely disappeared and was replaced by the regular net. When I go to the store to find my tools, I can select « bronze bug net » but it just brings the regular net to my inventory. This happened when my inventory was full and I had some of my extra items sent to me by mail… Never had anything like this happen before at any point in the game. Playing on PC.

1. I don't recall having problems at tree plant festival...it was a while back though.

Not at all. I'm at Year 1 Winter 24 and I've only encountered this bug after the hotfix/update. When I started the game after the hotfix I've noticed my tools were all at bronze quality and my bag was a mess and had random items such as Canola during Winter season.

As this screenshot was taken during Fall 2 Year 1 and my current playthrough is already at Winter 24 Year 1. I hope this could be considered for a fix though 😦

All my tools have downgraded from gold/silver to basic/bronze - the blacksmith and beach shop say the correct tools when offering to find my missing ones (when I put them back in a storage bin) but when I receive them they are basic/bronze. Morning everyone!

I see a lot of people have get the hotfix to version 1.1-1225. To get your tools level back go to blacksmith or beach shack and retrieve your tools, it should give you back the tools level that you previously had.
I saw report from some of you that this also affects lumina wand and there's no tools retrieval for that I'll relay this to the team 🙏

Hi IotaRen, can you check at the oracle chamber if you can reupgrade your lumina wands?

My Axe is still base and not back to osmium. Retrieving from the blacksmith didn't help as it only gives me an option to get the watering can.

I didn't lose any tools at any point, but before the update I had my gold pickaxe at the blacksmith upgrading to osmium. After updating the game today and loading in, I have a gold pickaxe in my inventory but my original pickaxe is also being upgraded at the blacksmith. Is there a way to "throw away" extra tools?

Didn't work for me, but I think that's because I still played my game and upgraded my tools again. 😅

The hotfix works and I got my upgraded tools back BUT I do have another problem after the hotfix. Some stuff in my chest boxes, for example, flour, many shellfish...also gone.

unfortunately you can't throw away your duplicate tools sorry 😦

It does not allow me to upgrade my wand since I’ve already purchased all the upgrades and there is no option to “retrieve” tools from the oracle

yeay it looks like the bug was fixed for me. my tools went back to normal osmium now. thanks hardworking dev!

hi folks, if your lumina wand also get downgraded after yesterday's issue can you drop your save file here and also confirm with us if you save the game yet/go to sleep in game since you encounter the issue.

I have an issue with my watering can. I have mine in my inventory, but when the day star, I have a notice tell me the ossium watering can upgrade is ready. And when I go to the Sanchez Brother, they gave me an ossium watering can

That seems to happen if you were getting your tools upgraded when the bug occurred. You can't throw the other watering can away so you're just gonna have to put it in a chest and forget about it. It happened to me with my fishing rod

but I dind't ! i didn't plan to upgrade my can, i'm in summer, year 2 and i need my wtaering can to water some thing so I planed to upgrade it in winter !

Hey! I also have the problem with my Lumina wand. I had it fully upgraded until that bug happened.
With the current version I still only have the bronze wand and can't retrieve my fully upgraded wand. I can't upgrade this bronze one, because I've already had the upgrades from the oracle.😢

And the Blacksmiths could only give me back an Osmium Watering can, which was never missing.

Yes, I was already playing when the patch dropped and I did not see the messages saying to not save your game and continued playing as normal.

Oh, one more thing. Do you still remember how many days you played after the downgraded tools happened, lotaRen?

No and no, that was the only save file I could find and unfortunately I played quite a few in-game days before seeing that I should not have played anymore
