#Steam Cloud/local save vanished

Hello, Wasn't sure where to put this as a bug or a crash or what, sorry if it is the wrong spot i didn't know whjere this sorty of thing fell.

  • Reproduction Steps She opened the game today and her save file was not there. Has been working fine, nothing has been changed, she last played couple of days ago (last few days we have been playing something else). Nothing has been changed Hardware or software wise either.
  • Repro Rate since today, and seems to have vanished.
  • Game Platform Steam PC
  • Game Version v1.1 - 1223
  • Input Mode Keyboard and mouse
  • Your save file HAS VANISHED
  • Attachment Screenied the load screen, '*%localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames to show it has gone, and steam cloud to show its gone there too.

My wife has played for a few days now and everything has been working fine, she has ran in to an issue tonight loading up it said there was no saved data and the file has vanished. (nothing has been changed or done we just played another game or two for a few days)

We have tried to follow steps from here and steam to locate the saved files she had in progress but it isn't showing in any place at all and we are now really confused how this could have happened?

We went on to Steam and tried to look at files to download from cloud and they have all been over written with today's date (obviously because she has clicked to load the game) and its overwritten it?!

Any help would be great, this has made her not want to play as restarting her progress so soon is frustrating as heck.

Checked firewall as well and that has not been blocking it either so no idea what to do :< PLease help!

Are even the save backups gone?

And all she did was save game close it. Play for a few days on another game then load this one 🫠

Unless they are in a completely different place, i don’t see them

You have to got to %appdata% to find your backups

To be more clear go to your File Explorer and copy-paste this file path: %localappdata%\ProjectCoral
There should be a folder with your daily saves and another with backups

If all of those are empty then something must have happened while saving

If that's the case you're gonna have to wait for one of the devs to see this, because there isn't anything we can do on our sideScott_Crying_Emoji

Did you only play the game on Steam PC or do you have Steam Deck too?
