I've been playing Coral Island for almost a year now on my Xbox account. However, with recent things happening, I'm considering buying the Steam version. I'm hesitant because I don't want to start a new save. Is there a way to transfer my Xbox game save to the Steam version?

Techincally yes. But you will corrupt your save, you won't be able to report any bugs you have, and the devs have strongly suggested not to do it

we have NG+ files to use for starter cash instead

A lot of people use the 25.5k one because it's enough to upgrade your backpack, buy seeds, and get a nice stack of jamu

Basically- steam to steam is ok and works fine

Xbox to steam -while people will tell you it works fine- typically breaks at some point because steam is now 3 or 4 hotfixes ahead- so you're extremely likely to break- because bugs that are still on Xbox
Aren't on steam

So you can risk your file if it's game pass to steam (just copy don't move. So that Xbox keeps a copy just in case)

But from Xbox console to steam is not possible at all

But the choice is yours. People have done it

The team will flat out tell you dont do it
