Here's a screenshot, I talked to Denali first, got this line, then talked to Etna and got the exact same line. Also happened when I first arrived here, every single merfolk was saying "This is where you can rest, or you can go back to land" or something like that. Not sure who these lines are actually supposed to belong to at this point.
And apparently, the bug continues...

i entered it too late last night to talk to the oracle so i came back today and got the caves unlocked

Yeah. They know about this one. It’s because you aren’t meant to be able to talk to merfolk other than the ones you met in the palace until you’ve healed the tree.
