Crafting and Storage

when crafting items some of the needed items that I need to craft the item that are in my storage shows I have none. I have to physically go to my storage and grab the items to register I have them, which is very inconvenient. Also when I open my storage a lot of times it will automatically grab everything out of my backpack including my tools which is frustrating especially when I don't realize it until I need them. Is anyone else having this issue? I play on steam and I use a PlayStation controller. the version is 1.1-1223

For the crafting thing: On the top left of the chest-menu there are 2 checkboxes, one of them is "Include chest in global inventory", are you sure this is enabled for the chest you are storing your items in? I had that issue once because I accidentally put my crafting stuff in my "keep this just in case"-chest, which has this option disabled
The second Issue I have never experienced, sorry. Maybe post your save-file and a video of you can?
