I passed out due to stamina loss at the end of the second stage of the spring tree planting event. woke up in hospital cutscene, then woke up next day with the festival trees in my inventory and no tools, so I can't progress the game. Closing the game and reopening didn't help, as the autosave has already occured. Screen shot of inventry screen attached.

Did you try going to the blacksmith for the tools? You should be able to recover the lost ones there. And for the net / fishing rod it's the Beach Shack.

i ended up rolling back my save (after sharing it) then just skipped the event
