As seen in the screenshot, I just finished the Guardian Offerings, so I've had the buffalos and ostriches unlocked for a while, yet the activity log incorrectly says that they were just unlocked.

Someone had suggested that this was intentional, though I'm with you... In that even if this was intentional, it should definitely be changed... As it is confusing and should instead populate after first meeting Lady Lavanna.
