mayor gave letters to meet at the comunity center, no scene activated

my menu shows im at rank A but in the comunity center its still at B, i think the letters where to celebrate the fact we got to A but theres no cutscene that happened?
i did make the probable mistake to ask someone to hang out before i whent to the comunity center, but i dont think that should of affected the scene activation?

I had to wait until the next in game day. But I also had closed my game and gone back in too
