Merfolk Chaperone part 3 won't activate despite hotfix

Were you in the fall already when you got the quest? I saw someone saying that they played until the next season and it unlocked then (iirc in their case they were in spring and only were able to activate it in summer)

Yes this worked for me. But now... chaperone 4 wont trigger.

Hello Pebbles! Yes, yes. As UnholyRandom mentioned, if you receive this Quest when you're in the Fall, the next expedition date will be in the next season (Spring).

Kindly let us know if you've already in Spring and the Quest still not progressing. Thank you!

Hello there! May I ask what in-game date you finished the Chaperone Part 3?
Does the Chaperone Part 4 not appear in your Quest list now?

I finished year 2 spring for part 3. I’m in year 4 Spring 4 now and it’s still not in my quest list.

I play on PC (Steam). Unfortunately the game won’t open today. Crashes on loading. I verified files but no change

So I've finished Part 1 & Part 2 for the questline, got the quest for Part 3, and have waited until the following season (Spring Year 3) for the quest to update but it still says to "wait until the expedition dates" on the quest list. I've tried to reload from earlier days and play it forward but I still have this issue. I'm playing on PC (Steam).

Hello! Ohh, may I ask, did the Quest for Part 3 appear in Winter or in Spring?
Can you share your SaveGames folder in a zip file here too? To find it, you can copy-paste this file path to the File Explorer: %localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames

So the quest for Part 3 appeared the day the patch fixing the issue came out. I had finished Part 2 during Fall Year 2 but I'm pretty sure the patch came out when I was near the end of Winter Year 2 in game.

I seem to have similar issue. I completed Merfolk Chaperone Part 2 in Winter. It said to wait for next season to do Part 3. Now it is Spring day 9, sunny weather, and the quest won't activate. But I am not sure where to go anyway.????

Both my sister and I completed chaperone part 2 on our PS5s and then didn’t receive part 3 or 4 to the quest 😦

So I was able to fix it for myself. If you’re playing on Steam and have the Part 3 quest but it’s stuck on “wait for the next expedition days” then you can hit the ‘I’m stuck’ button it will take you to the next day and that seemed to finally update the quest
