can't change shed appearance

when I go to change the appearance of my shed the redesign button is greyed out

Isn't the redesign only available if you get the shed design from the gatcha machine at the recycling center (unlocked as part of a town upgrade)? I only ask because in the pictures provided in doesn't look like you possess the needed designs. I gave it a couple tries and didn't manage to snag them, they're a fairly rare drop.

They may need to make it more clear how to get these... or make it not show until you manage to get the design?
