PS5 Disc Edition; there are three parts to the rare gems goddess offering: uncommon, rare, and super rare. I completed the rare portion of that offering the previous season. Come back today and it's completely incomplete but the gems used weren't returned. This is with the latest version.

They are aware of this bug. it has been fixed on Steam and will be fixed on console as soon as they get access back to being able to update them.
In the meantime, save your gems until you have enough to complete the altar and donate them all at once. The altar will then complete for you.
