Stuck at Town Rank B and slooowly crawling to Town Rank A. Any tips?

I am less than a hundred points away to reaching Town Rank A. The only thing that's rank B is the Museum category, with both Heritage and Ocean being in A. I have a few more missing items in the donation list, and I'm having a hard time getting them, because they're mostly artifacts, dinosaur bones and gems, which are obtained through random chance. I've been grinding away digging for fossils and chests, and although I am now able to get my hands on them more easily thanks to the Savannah, it still seems useless when after opening about a 100 fossils/chests per run, you only get about 1 to none of your missing items, and all the rest just repetitive items that you don't need. It can get very tiring (burnt out). And I've been doing that for months already!

Any tips on how I can fill up the museum a lot faster? It would be nice also if finishing some of the town quests can contribute points to the town rank. I would love to play the new features that comes w/ the latest update. But I feel like it's going to be a long time before I do if it's this difficult to complete the museum.

my first question is- are you opening the right one to get what you're missing?

@somber moon Hello! Yes, I think I am. The fossils for the dinosaur bones, right? And then the chests for the artifacts. And then the colored geodes for the gems. But I only keep on getting the ones I already donated 😂. I guess it's just RNG luck. 😅

So each color coffer or fossil only contains a certain set of fossils or artifacts. Use coral.guide to figure how which ones to hunt to get what you need

Example- these are the only items you can get from a pirate coffer. You won't ever get anything more than these items

Then use the location tab (blacksmith for coffer/geode and lab for fossils)

Last I checked it was 45 points for completing collections

Does this apply to completing ALL of the collections as whole? Or 45 points for completing each collection? I've just completed both the wind and water gems, and i think all i got were the hats hehe.

No. It's based on donations. The journal page is your "complete collection"
So example
The gems page. Once every gem from that page has been donated, the gems collection is complete and you get 45 points

Just wanna say thank you again for all the tips! I managed to complete the gem collection because of this. The additional points is also apparently 40, not 45 (maybe it was before?). Now I'm just 28 points away from reaching Town Rank A! 🙂
