Unless I am just being blind, I cannot see how to progress on to the next level of the mine here. I cleared every object and no entrance appeared in the floor.

This also happened to me. Cleared the whole floor and no way down. It was a small square floor map too so I'm sure I didn't miss it. I ended up quitting to desktop and restart the game, then I could find a way down.

the rope item is like the staircase in stardew valley. u use it on the ground and it makes a staircase for you to go down

its fine, i just recently learned stone can make glass in the refiner 😭 i thought only scrap could do that

Had this happen to me too, and also reloading the floor throwing me back to the stairs i came from. I was lucky to have a rope with me when it happened though so highly recommend having atleast a few. Cost 1k ea at Band of smiles
