Had something similar happen to me too, was just trying to place a underwater barn and they appeared out of nowhere. Could not remove them after i canceled building the barn so reloaded the day. Same game version

Ouch the underwater farm does not like the farm machines for sure... I didn't even have any farm machines there as i just unlocked the farm so reloaded the day just in case, now i am so happy i did.
