Hello! There is a possibility that this could not be coral island related. However, one of the dump files pointed directly to ProjectCoral-W as a faulty memory address, so in the case that this is game related and others may have this problem, I think it would be good to report.
Relevant info:
- Platform: PC, Windows 10, Steam
- Build ID: 15238454 (1.1-1222) (for the second blue screen, first happened 7/28/2024)
- These crashes did not happen while playing any version before 1.1.
- Steps to reproduce are very uncertain.
- Crash is about every 2 hours
So this is a weird one. Since this is beyond a game crash, I am not certain if the game records crash files for this. I do have minidump files from my pc if needed. I have had 2 Blue screen of death errors while playing the game. Once was while underwater swimming around in the merfolk kingdom, and one was while walking around on my farm in winter. I was not doing anything in particular other than moving when these errors occurred.
The first blue screen was an unexpected kernel mode trap. Looking into the error itself, it seems to be a stack overflow in desktop windows manager. This is the crash I do not think is game related, but it could be related due to how the game probably calls upon desktop windows manager itself and because I was playing the game when it happened. It could also have to do with me switching in between the game and other tabs, but when the crash happened I was not doing this. The first screenshot itself is some relevant data from the minidump file.
The second blue screen happened while on the farm running around. It was a page fault in non paged area. This appears to be some sort of issue with the computer trying to find a file at a memory address and either it being corrupted or not there. This was specifically within Coral island itself, with the process being ProjectCoral -W.
