Foraging not increasing

I’ve been foraging and etc yet the foraging skill hasn’t budged at all. I’ve been at level 6 for as long as I can remember while everything else is continuing to slowly increase. Is it something I’m doing or a bug? I am very confused.

I’d go chop down trees for faster xp gain

Are you comparing the xp bar overnight tho?
It doesn’t actively track during game play -> only updates the UI menu for xp gains after sleeping

btw with the addition on savannah's cave
there is technically endless mushroom tree in savannah cave :D which is good for levelling up your forage level

My town rank is only C so I can’t get into Savannah Cave yet. Foraging is still sitting at D while everything else is higher.

Savannah is nothing to do with rank. You need to complete 18 bundles to get Savannah access. Complete the advanced altar to get cave of memories (plus finishing the 4 giants and seeing the fire giants cutscene).
