I had a similar bug (nothing processed overnight) but taking the items out and putting them back in seems to have unglitched dehydrators for me.
Upd: Had it occur again now. It seems like for me logging off stops dehydrators from working, and after logging on taking items out and in fixes the issue.

Iām having the same issue, on steam deck latest version. Taking items out and putting them back in fixes it for me too

Seeing the same issue on the OG steam deck. Emptying and restocking fixes it for a time or two.

dehydrator stop working on making fibers into hay now(steam version 1.1), also I notice that you need to put 2 fibers to fill up one slot but when you take it out before progress done it becomes 1

Its similar to the Fish Pond and Bug House Bug if you dive they stop working for some reason

it's been going on for a while now, every time i log off the timer for the dehydrator resets and i have to take everything out to start the machine again. this is especially frustrating for fiber since it takes 2 to make 1 hay but when i need to take out the fiber, it only gives me back 1.

WOW reading your post changed my life, I had no idea there was any relationship to diving and this awful machine/fish pond nightmare I have been experiencing! I was literally checking for any updates on this today because I am so fed up with it I was about to shelve the game completely and never look back.
After reading your comment, I didn't dive for 3 in game days and voila, not one machine stopped functioning, and my fish ponds are pumping out carbon copies once again. THANK YOU for mentioning that. I doubt it will fix it for me permanently, but it was so nice to actually play a few normal days in this game!

Can confirm this is occuring to me, but they somtimes work through diiving, although it DOES apepar to matter a lot if you warp to a warp point or dive.
