In Tree Planting Festival Event actions consumed energy, making it impossible to complete without falling unconscious. In previous playthroughs, I recall having unlimited energy, as recently as PC 1.1
The only difference between these two apart from the version, is that I managed to upgrade my scythe to its bronze version.

Further information: Inventory when entering festival event was replaced by event inventory. Consequently had to retrieve tools from services, and now have two hoes.
Event quest remains in quest list partially completed.
