After the v1.1-1220 update, all my auto chests stopped working altogether, emptying and refilling or replacing them does not work. They just stand still doing nothing. You can see the machines finished processing but they are not supplied or emptied by the chests. Any help?
edit: Reloading the save or restarting the game does not help either.

I seemingly solved it. The setup I used saved me 1 chest per row by placing it one tile off. It worked until the update with varying success but good enough to me. Setting the chests up "normally" fixed it. This is probably intentional behavior and disabling my setup fixed the misbehavior altogether.

I have the same issue, my chests are offset from the machines by one tile and they stopped working. The machines are still processing what was in them but nothing new is being put into them. Unfortunately I don't remember exactly the update this happened with. It was sometime after 1.1, I know I played a few days on 1.1 before it broke

My Steam Deck says these were last modified between 7/27 and 7/31 so I assume somewhere in/after that timeframe is when it broke

No, but it looks exactly the same as the first image in this thread. I think OP was saying their auto chests didn't work with offset machines, and they had to line the machines up even with the chests for them to work
Specific machines that used to work but don't anymore: Mason Jar, Keg, Extractor, Oil Press, Cheese Press, Loom, Mayonnaise Machine, Recycling Machine, Compost Bin, Kiln

Mine is the same as Roxie said. Any 2x2 machine doesn’t work with the auto chest when offset by one row.
