Hi guys! A few days ago I’ve bought Coral Island on PS5 and I’m loving it so far! I’m 18 hours in (Spring 25). Sadly when I restarted the game yesterday my most recent save file was gone and I was thrown back to Spring 12… I lost quite some progress and was a bit grumpy about it. I’ve read there are some PS5 bugs and console updates are uncertain but what do you guys suggest? This time I was throw back a few hours but I’m afraid to be thrown back days! Love to hear from you! Sadly i cant help you with your lost progress but maybe i can give you some advice to prevent things like that in the future.
When i started to play Coral Island on PS5 (right after release), i noticed that the Weather Forecast is sometimes missing on the TV, which i needed every day to catch bugs and fish for the museum. There were some other minor issues like noise bugs after diving, kegs/hives not processing.
Since then i'm shutting the game down after the saving message/icon is gone.
I take a peek at the calendar and the TV, pet my cat to give it some seconds to be save, then i shut the game down and restart it right away. I mean a real shut down/restart, dont go back to the main menu and load the save.
This is maybe just a workaround for some issues but through this behaviour i already enjoy the game for about 180+ hours without much frustration, i never lost a day or even more so far.
The worst thing that might happen this way, is that you loose 1 day.
