Top underwater

I still cannot work out how to change my top underwater...
I've tried putting it on in the 'merfolk' outfit spot but it just wont go in it.

i think you need to put it on while you’re underwater in your merfolk form

is there specific tops i have to use? like do i have to buy them udnerwater or something? because ive tried that with a pink one i bought on land

So the outfit slots can’t be toggled when in ocean

So you have to set them all up while on land -> toggle to Merfolk outfit tab, and place in slots - whichever Merfolk outfit slot is the last seen/viewed on land = active outfit when in ocean

you unfortunately cannot wear normal clothing with your tail. There is a shop underwater that sells specific merfolk tops, and you can only wear those.
