I've got quest markers everywhere and no idea what they are for. Nothing seems to happen when I go there. An example's at the Oracle Chamber(Ocean) and two markers in front of the chamber. Is this a bug or am I just dumb?

Event markers? The exclamation points. Nothing seems to happen near them and I cannot interact with the lady.

Ah, those aren't event markers. Those show that there's a shop there. Once you open the shop for the first time they go away.
You can interact with her if you squiggle around the back of the counter and talk to her from there.

I did, but no shop. She just said hello. And I got to check the second shop, but the marker's still there. There's also a marker in town, next to Ling, Randy and Leah's mansion, but there's only a bench there. Is there a shop there at some point?

it's 630 in the morning in your game, the shop won't be open yet. If it's the floating ! mark, it's where the clothing shop was before it opened for real. It was a tent until you reach town rank E

Yes, I'm aware it was 6:30 in the screenshot. I tried talking to her the day before. Also is the Oracle a shop too? I've been to her during the beta and there wasn't a shop. Right now I just cannot interact with her. Could it be a mermaid/man thing?

You interact with the counter, not her. And yes, ChoOyu was always a shop, even in 1.0

Ooh! Okay, that actually makes sense. Though the decoration shop's open. But about the clothing shop, since it's moved, shouldn't the marker be gone too? Maybe it'll go away after I visit the store... Gonna try.
