I thought I was told that with the mer update, we would not be able to underatand the merfolk at first until we get the item from the lab that means for the first cut scene as well. But yet after restarting, I can still underatand them.
I don't understand why we would need something from the lab, if the cut scene we can understand them fine, but yet it is played as of the player can not understand what they said. It dose not make sense is this going to be update at a later date?
#are we still meant to be able to understand the merfolk?

So the very first cutscene in first diving area where player runs into the merfolk, in game the player does NOT know anything that is said bc no, cannot understand
But for gameplay purposes we are able to read the dialogue so IRL we as the player behind the screen understand the story lore & dialogue
