Hello--I've been enjoying the new update a lot. However, I was surprised to see that my town, which had JUST reached rank A with Pufferfish moving out and everything, is now rank b. I've read this prevents me from going to the savannah, but I've already gotten the giant quest. Any help is appreciated. Steam for PC.

Happened to me as well but thankfully I was only 3 points away from A. However, someone on reddit got 100 pts taken away from them.

Someone mentioned that the points taken away is because festivals used to give town rank points and merit points but now it's only merit points. Not sure if that's what happened 😦

They rejigged the town rank points system. Finish your museum, lake temple offerings and the ocean and you will get access to everything you need.
Merit points have no bearing (and never had) on town rank.
