I dont know if this is a glitch or not but i finished the second chaperone mission in fall and there has not been a 3rd or fourth pop up at all. I checked the wiki that shows there is two more but nothing it prompting in my quest list. I though maybe it was because of it being winter but im in spring of the next year and still no 3rd quest

I'm having the same issue, no part 3, might as well wait for the next hotfix drop as they said they're already have it ready.

@kindred lichen i realized that my issue is actually with the second quest spawning, not the third. would you mind telling me where part 2 of the quest is supposed to spawn? I’m still holding out hope that maybe I’m just missing it

It start as soon as part 1 ends, my part 1 was in spring

I'm not sure if it will trigger without the journal entry, but the 2nd chaperone quest starts by going to the coffee stall between 8-10am on one of the "expedition days". hope this helps

@sly stone Tysm!! I have the journal entry but literally no cut scene spawns regardless of where I go on the island…I’ll have to try specifically the coffee cart and see if it was just user error.

your welcome, I got the 2nd quest on the last day of winter, so mine was just sitting at "wait until next exploration date", then it said "go to Raj's bar" but I think I had to scroll up or down to get it to show that.

Once I triggered the cutscene by going to coffee shop during the right time, it proceeded to do a series of story events where I only had to choose a few dialog options. Once that was finished the quest showed as complete and I was able to collect the reward. The 3rd chaperone mission never popped up for me.

Thank you! it looks like there never was a third part to begin with and i noticed that the merfolk didnt mention it either in the dialogue.

I'm having the same issue, pt 3 never showed up. I triggered pt 2 in Winter and pt 3 didn't trigger after the cutscenes.

Same here! Unlocked the chaperone missions right after spring so I missed that first one, did 1&2 in summer and fall. The mission for 3 isnt showing and it's the day of, not sure how to trigger it, or if I can at all actually!

Part 3 showed up for me 🙂 I'm in the date range for it (spring 8), but it says wait until the next one.

Seems like it might be still bugged. I used the backup to replay Spring 7 - the quest popped up saying to wait until the next expedition date. I've got until Spring 8 - it still says to wait.

Yeah I got the same issue. No other instructions besides to wait for the next expedition date. Used backup to go back and when I reached Spring 8, nothing else popped up.

I was near the end of spring and sped thru to summer 22 and the quest triggered, so you'll have to advance to the next season's expedition date to do quest #3

Hello everyone! I'm excited to share that we have released a fix for the Chaperone Part 3 issue in Steam's Hotfix (v1.1-1223). The cutscene can now be triggered in the next season of the Expedition Schedule. If you still encounter any difficulties, please let us know.

this bug just hit me tonight; i finished quest 1 in spring but summer just came and i'm at the 25th and the quest won't trigger. It just says wait for the start of the next expedition. it may be because it's been either raining or windy every day since the 22nd but it only says wait for the weather to clear when it's raining

I also completed Merfolk Chaperone Part 2 in Winter. It said to wait for next season to do Part 3. On Spring Day 8, I noticed the quest message and that the Spring expedition dates run from day 8-14. It was after noon when I saw the message, so I missed that day. I could have sworn it said to meet in front of the museum though. Now it is Spring day 9, sunny weather, and the quest message changed back to "Wait until next expedition date" and going to the museum doesn't trigger. I am at Rank S, completed all of the other merfolk orchestra quests, 1,000 crop submission, etc.

I don't know what I did, but my quest triggered again the day after the Cherry Festival. Yay!
