the event where Archies is dancing with gong and his parents think its an imaginary friend. After that Gong asks you for the cloak and the stuff, I have that quest already and I just saw that event for the third time, its not happening when I enter the city but first thing in den morning..

I have the same issue with Karen running for mayor and Archie’s & Giant event. So for me it keeps happening if I restart the game. Every time when I start the game new, play a day and go to bed, the two cutscenes will play again. Every time. If you don‘t log out of the game, the cutscenes will not replay.

I’m having the same issue. I play on Xbox Series S. All I do is wake up in the morning, the cutscene triggers, and then I’m back in my house. I’ve gotten it 3 times so far.

I first triggered the cutscene during the summer, between day 15-20 and it’s continuing to trigger in the fall. I’m not sure on the frequency because it’s been random.

I’ve had the Disguise Wanted quest active since I triggered the cutscene the first time.

Same issue here, currently in Fall, playing on PS5, it’s currently happened twice, the original and the random second.

Had the ‘heal the coral’ quest active; most recent update of the game 1.1 (I believe)

I have the same issue. I play on steam 1.1. Cutscene triggers again when I start a new day (right after save). I´ve gotten 3 so far. I’ve had the Disguise Wanted quest active since I triggered the cutscene the first time.

Here is a savefile where the giants cutscene is happening (for the 3rd or 4th time) before you wake up. I've also received the letter with the following quest several times. After a later occurrence of this cutscene I also got the cutscene of ||Karen nominating herself as mayor|| a second time, but I don't have the exact savefile for that day

Hi! I just noticed this same issue happening on steam version 1.1. I've attached my save file for reference--this is the first time I've seen the repeat since getting the cutscene, and the repeat happened on Fall 11. I've attached a zip of my backup folder as well!

Update: it seems like, upon entering the Giant's Village after the cutscene with Archie, the cutscene where Gong requests materials also repeats, even though the quest is active. The letter that prompts the cutscene does not re-send, and I was able to view the quest prior to re-viewing the second associated cutscene.

EDIT: The letter is also re-sending.

Adding my info here ^^

  • The cutscene with Gong, Archie, Taco, and Archie's parents, where you get given the quest "Disguise Wanted", is playing when I load the save and start my day. I had already seen the cutscene a few days ago when I entered the town square, which I assume is the normal trigger. When I skipped the cutscene I woke up as normal, and outside I had the letter from Gong in my mailbox triggering the next step of the quest.
  • Reproduction Steps: I'm unsure how to reproduce what happened, and I can't really replay to try, but it happens every time I load this save.
  • Repro Rate: Consistent.
  • Game Platform: Steam
  • Game Version: V1.1-1198
  • Input Mode: Keyboard and mouse

Updated info: On fall 19 I received just the letter from Gong again, but since then neither cutscene nor letter has been repeated and I've progressed the quest. I've also added my backup folder, since you requested that from others in the thread. I have played a bit since then, so I'm not sure if it's still useful, but just in case ^^;

Hi, just wanted to add that I saw the gong cutscene like on summer 16. I’m on summer 24 and the cutscene triggered again, I just finished a house upgrade. I don’t know if there was supposed to be another cutscene triggering.

Can confirm, still happening. Savefile attached in case still needed.

  • Reproduction Steps: Have the Giant freed and cutscene watched at least once. (see others above). Keeps replaying for me when entering my bed for the night, right before money report.
  • Repro Rate Around every 3-4 days currently for me (year 2, summer 7th currently)

I've had this issue as well. Triggered the cutscene naturally, then a few days later the cutsene happened again when I woke up the day my house upgrade was finished.
