Merfolk repeats last sentence for introduction

I talked to Semeru, then introduced myself to Todi and he repeted the last sentence that Semeru said rigth before that. The same happend as i talked with Slamet and then Vihren i think, tough i'm not sure if that were the right NPCs. But the second NPC definitely repeated the last sentence from the one before that. They didn't said anything after that.

  Talk with one merfolk NPC you already know, then talk to one you don't know.

  Everytime i introduced myself

Hi! (: unfortunately no; i would try to reproduce it for a screenshot/video but i introduced myself so everyone. I also can't remember the in-game date (it was summer i think) nor do i have a backup-file of that day. So, so sorry!! ):
