Same Cutscene Three Times

Every few days I've been getting the Town Rank B cutscene wherein Karen challenges the mayor. It seems as if I'm getting these in addition to or replacing other cutscenes meant to trigger. The third time happened today after restoring the greenhouse. I've had to stop playing on this 140 hour save because it seems like I am missing major events at this point.

Hey hey. I have the same issue. Every other day after I go to bed I get the Karen runs for mayor cutscene again even tho I am already further in the story line and the one where you get the Disguise Wanted Quest from Gong, even to I already have the Quest. I am playing on steam. And it always happens once a week when I go to bed. I sadly don‘t have a recording of it. 😅

Hi, I've been getting the same issue as well a few times now, all within Spring Town Rank B, every few days. I'm playing on Steam on Win10, and I just had it again logging on in Spring 17.

it is currently experienced by a lot of players. Karen's mayor candidacy announcement is playing so many times my thought was "shut up you attention seeking serpent i dont wanna see your candidacy announcement" its prolly been logged by them and they might fix it soon. but please share more details if you are able to do so!

I just unlocked the 'dig site' and instead got this cut scene (third time i've seen it now), so I agree with the idea that it's playing in place of other cut scenes.

Here's a screenshot I took earlier, i'll try to get a video. It happens on random days, usually within 2-3. I'm on xbox gamepass(pc), using a keyboard, and use 2 screen monitors. game version v1-162. Reproduction Steps: at the start of a day in Summer 2 there seems to be a repetition of the Karen announcing she is running for Mayor cutscene. I have already had this cutscene in the previous year and the subsequent scenes of her going around the town trying to get signatures.
Repro Rate : every other weekday in Summer 2 (this started after I updated to 1.1)

I also had the same cutscene thrice (so far). I've seen the mayor one already in version 1.0 and saw a large chunk of the actual campaign, but since the new update i've been seeing this one repeat and a few other ones I can't currently recall.

I wanted to add here that I noticed that every time my town rank went up, a cutscene would repeat. My town rank just went up to be and both the Gong-Archie dancing scene and the Karen Mayoral scene both repeated in succession before the start of the next day.

I've had to reload the day a few times and each time I get the karen cutscene... even though I've seen it at least 4 times now. But I'm sharing this save that's guaranteed to have the cutscene on day start

I don't think so, personally? The repeat for me happens at the start of the day and shouldn't affect heart cutscenes as far as I know.. maybe the NPC dialogue, but I've also had some NPCs unaffected (so talking to them just gave normal dialogue instead of commending on the mayoral race)

I'll definitely be more vigilant about NPC cutscenes when that happens now though.

Reproduction Steps: I've relaunched my game and checked file integrity, but on Year 2 Summer 3, I see the mayor Karen cutscene a 3rd time.
Repro Rate (How often does the issue occur?): I did not note down when the 1st and 2nd cutscenes occured, but the 3rd time it happened on Year 2 Summer 3. The 1st time the cutscene played was prior to hotfix 1.1-1224. 2nd and 3rd occurences happened on the current version (1.1-1225). 4th on Summer 8, year 2. Will update if it occurs again.

I just wanted to say that I haven't had the cutscene trigger lately. I haven't reached rank A yet, but I think ever since 1.1-1225 the bug hasn't triggered for me.

Just saw the Karen Mayoral run cutscene after running the ||Cave of Memories to level 41. I had already unlocked lvl 25 elevator, and so just went to lvl 25 and pushed through 41. When I went through lvl 26, I encountered a room with no means to go through to the next floor, and had to construct a rope to go down a level.||

I went to bed very late, past 00:30. Not sure if related, but I might as well note it.

I am having the same issue. I unfortunately don't have any screen shots or videos but I know it has happened at least once per season since reaching rank B on winter 19th year 2, currently it is fall 3rs year 3 in game. Before I saw the announcement scene for the second time I had seen the cutscenes where Karen goes to the general store, blacksmith, fishensips, the lab and the carpenters but I haven't seen any others and these cutscenes haven't replayed.

Hi, been redirected here from another report I made so also including my safe file here. Had a repeat of the ||Karen running for mayor|| cutscene and the ||Takeba mistaking Mark for his son|| cutscene, each two times by now at this point. Playing mouse & keyboard, on steam PC, current version being v1.1 - 1226

I'll add that I had the Karen cutscene while at rank C, and some messages here seem to suggest it's a rank B thing so that might be relevant

I am also having the same issue as Moko posted above with the same version, platform and input method. I will also add that in addition to the repeated cutscene, i have also gotten a letter from Gong at least once (despite having already started the side quest) which then triggered the cutscene in the Gisnt's village where Gong asks you to bring him items. I don't remember when I got the letter the second time i'm afraid.

Edit: I turned in the quest and immediately after the cutscene where Gong and Grog meet the Mayor as the "human" named Handsome, the custscene for starting the quest(where you go to the giant's village and talk to Gong and Grog) played. It seems like the quest did complete though.

i get the same cut scene like every couple of days--the one with Raina talking to islanders about Karen (i think is what it is). THere's never any audio when it repeats. I can try to get a video when it happens next... but its really annoying.

I had the giants disguise cut scene repeat twice. and the quest got updated with less items too. Wasn't mad about that, since i couldnt get a eye patch the first time. second it wanted wool and a flower xD unless thats intended
