So, I ran into some issues where I could not catch some insects despite having them in the cone of the bug net. One looked like some sort of black widow spider (its animation was also broken, the poor thing was just sliding across the floor) and once again with a butterfly of some sort. This only happened twice, but I found it a bit weird. I could not find anything on the topic so I thought I'd ask here if this is an actual bug or if maybe some bugs need traps/upgraded nets to be caught? I vaguely remember there being an issue like that way back, but I haven't played since November so I am really out of the loop. Any advice would be appreciated.

The black widow spider was and is tricky to catch, even with gold/osmium net. Best to catch those with traps place on the graveyard, lookout area (near the inn), on the entrance between the beach and Frank's house, and the tree area close to the lab. If you place at least 2 or 3 traps on these certain areas, it'll guarantee the catch for Black Widow spider.
Another guaranteed catch is Wolf Spider, by placing 1 trap near the bath house on Summer.
Next is Tarantula. Same as black widow - only in fall - but takes time to trap it. You can catch these with upgraded net and use ground insect scent with strategic pathway.
