I can't move except by dashing

Reproduction Steps: After experiencing a weird fast travel to the mermaid city, I suddenly could not move. WASD still turned my character, but it could only move forward by dashing. I thought fast traveling back out of the water might help, but it did not.
Repro Rate: It's only happened once, but once is weird enough.
Game Platform: Steam/PC
Game Version: v1.1-1198
Input Mode: Keyboard and mouse

No, I don't have a video. But just like Kitty it only happened once for me. And I was able to use the dash button to make it to bed to sleep/save

I had something similar to this happen today. In the Savannah after finding a treasure map item (I don't remember which map). I received a Flameguard hammer, but there was no sound or animation, it was just in my inventory. And now I can only dash.

This is on pc, on steam. I don't have screenshot/video. I play with a controller. I switched to my keyboard and still could not move. All other buttons and interfaces seem to work as usual, only turning and walking were inaccessible.

I was able to recreate this, using the hoe to dig for the buried treasure indicated by "Fenn's secret map 5".

Hello Trixillia! I'm sorry that you encounter this issue. May I know when you encounter the issue your character still holding tools or weapons? Also, do you have a video of when you recreated it with "Fenn's secret map 5''?

I don't have a video, I don't know how to do that. I can try to find the directions on how to do that, and attempt to recreate it again. 😅

I still had my tool selected, and could switch tools and use them as expected. Only the movement (including the direction I was facing) was stuck.

I had even brought the warp sesajen with me the second time, and used it in the hopes it would reset me, but it didn't. Teleported to my farm and still couldn't move or turn except just by the dash button.

Okay, I got a video! (Sorry for the laggy bits, it does that a bit when I first start playing.) Previously I had encountered this issue in the evening, but here I recreated it in the morning so that I didn't lose anything when I had to restart.

Im on Xbox X and ran into this issue during the spooky festival. I picked up a scavenger hunt item and spoke with Dippa too quickly (i think) and most likely got stuck in the animation. Could only dash and got stuck, had to reset the day, sadly! :c

I'm having the same issue with the Savannah treasure maps. This only happens with the maps I get from the left side gacha <<<. Tried it a few times thinking it was something on my end, but sadly, digging up anything on the left side maps will cause my character to get "stuck" and I won't be able to move at all except for dash forward.
Latest version to date on pc steam.

This exact thing happened to me! It wasnt even after a treasure map but it was in the same area. I got stuck behind the jaguar head for a while (with my bug net stuck?), FINALLY dashed out of it, but couldn’t turn or rotate even though it all worked on menus.

Im having this same problem and lost a whole day of progress. When using the hoe to dig a treasure spot in the savannah it will add the item, take the map, and make it so you can not move. You can only dash or use sword to go forward. After losing a day, I got another map, waited a day to save, and went straight to the dig spot first thing in the morning, and again lost the ability to move. Both maps were different but still caused the bug. I'm on Steam on the latest version. Both controller and keyboard will not let me move.

This happened to me as well but I waited till I passed out from exhaustion (helps I didn’t look for anything till nighttime) and then reloaded the day and everything was back to normal

Same here, I play on pc using steam. Since the last update as of today (February 14, 2025) I´ve been experiencing bugs every time I try to play in the savanna. If I dig out any treasure pointed out by the maps given, my character automatically cant move in any direction except forward with the dash, I cant move and i cant interact with anything in the world except the stuff in my inventory. The same thing happened to me while exploring the cave in the savanna. I was on floor 100-something, I left the game window for a moment and when i came back the same ting happened with the movement and stuff.
The worst thing is that now that the "I´m stuck" button was removed from the "esc" window the only thing i can do about it is either exit the game and loose all my progress or wait for however long for the day to be over and pass out, which isn´t fun either

This same thing happened to me. I've been able to recreate it several times. Every time I dig up a treasure map, I get stuck. Thankfully, the first time, I was able to make a warp, get home, and use my tools to redirect myself until I got to bed, but I was still stuck when I woke up the next morning. I'm on pc using steam and I'm fully updated.

This is still happening almost a year since it was first reported 😦 I've resorted to only digging up stuff from the maps at night cos as soon as I do, I can't do anything except dash and use my warp sesajen. I'm also playing on PC (Steam) and can't even use my WASD buttons to redirect myself to dash (Spacebar) so I'm just stuck in place. Please fix this; I love this game so much but these bugs are starting to get to me.
