I was reading A Day in the Life: A Bug-Catcher and got the message that things happened. I read the fish book before and not gotten any mastery points, so this time I was prepared and looked at the stats before and after. For bug catching, my level (Lvl 6), amount of experience and mastery points are still exactly the same. I also don't have any new recipes (in case its just the same message for everything, despite the changelog stating that sometimes you can get those instead).
Edit: Same for the foraging book (Lvl 7) and combat (Lvl 4)
The book for the slime of replication does work
