#Elixir disappeared

I bought a catching elixir, then there wasn't a consuming animation and it disappeared. My points are gone and I don't have a point for catching on the mastery page. Its also gone from the store page at the town center. I'm going to restart the day to see if it happens again. Full time line would be I loaded the game, kissed Wakuu and pet my doge, collected animal products and put them to be sold, put auto sort on chests, when to the lab for fossils, went to the museum and donated 2 fossil and got town rank to B then I went to buy the elixir and the issue happened.
Repro Rate: first time after the 1.1 patch
Game Platform: PC Steam
Game Version: 1.1-1198
Input Mode: Keyboard and mouse / Controller
Save file: unable to be found for some reason, I checked all of my hard drives. I pasted %localappdata%\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames and it couldn't be found

So, after you reload to the same day, does the Elixir appear correctly on your inventory and you can consume it? If so, is the Mastery Point added correctly as well?

As for the save file, kindly try to access it by going to your File Explorer and following this file path: C:\Users\ <username>\AppData\Local\ProjectCoral\Saved\SaveGames

Sometimes the "AppData" folder is hidden, so you can try to unhide it first. 😊

I had the same problem, but I noticed later that was a issue. It was with a Farming Elixir.

After I reloaded the game and did mainly the same steps, I was able to consume the elixir normally, the mastery point was also added correctly. As for the save file:

i wanna make sure about this.

so i tried again buying the elixir and til the animation finished not pressing any button until the animation is finished and the chat window appeared. then it continues to eat the elixir animation.

so if no eating animation no skill point.

weirdly if i click it too fast the eating animation is not happening also got no skill point.

Another update for you - it's been a couple weeks (in game) since I bought the diving elixir and didn't get the point for it. I went to go buy a foraging elixir and it worked. I also noticed that the diving elixir which last time I checked had showed sold out no longer says that - but the merit points I had initially spent to get it are still gone

Same problem here. It was the 27 th of the first year in winter after giving the twins their gifts and after receiving a random event in the town center.

I bought the forager potion but no animation played and didnt receive a potion. Also lost my merrits.

Ill reload to get my points back.

I had this too. Bought the ranching elixir, noticed it was gone but didn’t care much to reload and get my points back, I had done too much that day. Then I stopped playing for the day. Started the game today and no elixir still. I’m on Steam version 1.1

When it glitched for me it initially showed that the diving elixir was sold out and I hadn't noticed and saved the game. I decided I didn't care and kept playing. A couple in game weeks later I went to buy another elixir which worked and I noticed that the diving one was avaliable again even though prior it had showed sold out. I dunno exactly how long cause I wasn't exactly checking every day if it was avaliable again

So somehow in those few in game weeks it reset itself, no idea how or why. Even though it never gave me back my merit points at least I'll be able to buy it again, I can just earn more merit points

I remember my diving elixir I bought and didn't get was on the day of the animal festival. I believe I got the next elixir the day after the beach cleanup festival for a point of reference on how long for me

I just bought the mining elixir just now it didn't show me eating it like the other two I bought and it didn't add the point, though the merit points were subtracted and it is not in the list to buy.

I just wanted to add that I am experiencing this as well. I have tried using merit points to purchase two different elixirs from Town Hall after the 1.1 update - and there is no animation of my character drinking the elixir nor do I receive the upgrade points.

I had this, after some time (most likely once i reloaded the game) it was available again. What worked for me in the end was buying it through the computer and getting it delivered instead of claiming it at the community centre.

I bought a fishing elixir, got a point. Then I bought a diving elixir and got no point. Both skills are at 10.

I went to get the Diving elixir after finishing off the mining skill tree with an elixir. The diving elixir was recognized as bought but didn't register I had consumed it even though I did, so I didn't get the point. I was at level 10 Mining and level 9 Diving.

This has happened to me repeatedly as well. I posted a bug note, was told to reference this, and so I guess I’ll just add here? Since there doesn’t seem to be any fix in this thread or recent update.

I had the same issue and adding my info in the hopes it solves it sooner!
Title : Bought diving mastery reward at the comunity center and did not recieve any points to spend in Mastery Tab.
Reproduction Steps: Don't have the merit points to reproduce but I assume you just buy a Mastery Potion and lose it.
Game Platform: PC on Steam
Game Version: 1.1-1225
Input Mode: Keyboard and Mouse
Save File: Is the wrong save file so probably useless

same issue for me - bought two elixirs and neither ended up in my inventory, so i figured maybe they show up when i go to sleep

I just go buy 1 Elixir in the morning immidiatly. If it fails i reload my save and try again. This mostly works 50% of the time.

But buying a second will not work and bug out. So I just buy 1 Elixir a day now.

I have the same issue, I bought a mining elixir and it didn’t give me my skill point, I’m also able to buy elixir’s for ones I have already bought from and have all the skills.

In case it helps, I just bought 5 at once. i didn't have all animations. As for the catching elixir, i didn't have the extra point.
After closing and reopening the game the next day, all elixirs are back and i could buy again the catching elixir. So i lost 500 token in the process, but at least it works

This has happened to me three times now and since I usually do this late in the day, I am not going to reload just to get it back.. Happened on ranching once and mining twice

Here is a work around

Work around that worked for me and others

  1. Go right after you wake up so you can reload if it fails
  2. Purchase the elixir
  3. Right click a bunch of times until the dialogue stops proceeding
  4. Left click ONCE to proceed the dialogue
  5. Right click a bunch of times until your player eats the fruit.

If they eat the fruit you should be good to go! Just double check that you got a mastery point for it

adding my +1 on this, had the same issue with the Catching Elixir not being consumed immediately after purchasing it and i didn't get the skill point after.

sadly i didnt notice until the day after and it had already saved over so i cant try the workaround above, but at least i can confirm that closing the game and reopening it makes the purchase available again (you do miss the merit points though).

I had this on two different exilirs and restarting day did not fix it. I lost my points but the elixir is still available to buy again
