I’m married to Rafael in game but when of course as soon as I got home I downloaded the update and I was talking to the Princess and she mentioned that we had gotten married and I was like uh no lol

You can sort by the date you last saved the game in the savegames folder, or you can send us the savegames folder. And can you tell us when you married with Rafael?

Yes I had been married to Rafael within a week I think and when I loaded up the game I went to the mermaid kingdom to see the new stuff and I talked to her and she said that

Sure thing, downloaded the update, and the first morning after waking up all the single characters in town were referring to our wedding and how much they loved being married to me. No other actions taken, and the same with all the Single characters regardless of heart levels

I married Wakuu on the 4th of fall. Now on the 9th of fall multiple single male characters I talked to have said lines about being married to them.

Reproduction Steps: Woke up like a normal day. Just ran around doing chores. Was married on the 4th of fall, this happened on the 9th of fall.
Repro Rate: first time? I didn't reopen my game yet. I had to step away from pc for work.

Same issue here with Semeru, Charles, Chaem and Theo, but I'm not married nor dating any NPC (for the winter event at the vineyard)
I tried with all the singles, they're the only ones having petnames in their text

Just hopping in here to report a similar issue. I play on steamdeck currently so I am unable to share a save file. However, I married Wakuu on the 17th of fall, year 2, and ever since, multiple npc’s have mentioned how happy they are that they are married to me, even if it’s just been one week. This includes Noah, Suki and Alice (but there were more for sure).
Just did normal activities: woke up in the morning, took care of my animals and went to town to go fishing.
If necessary I can provide a save file later. I play on the latest steam version, on steam deck.
Edit: Aaliyah and Ben now also told me how perfect our wedding was

On PC and married Yuri. The achievement didn’t trigger (in another post) but every other romance NPC I spoke to so far, talks to me as if they are my spouse. Yuri does too but the others…

On PC via Steam and married Pablo on Summer 17th, Year 3. After the day of the wedding I saved the game yesterday. This morning I got on again, went about my day and had some people congratulating my marriage, but then some of the bachelors talked to me like I was married to them (Kenny, Theo, and Luke so far). Then Mirajani said she loved me and I have zero hearts with her

On PC same issue here! Married Scott on Winter 10 Year 2 and have gotten dialogue about being married for a week from every single marriage candidate. They say it anytime I chat with them regardless of time of day. I leave my house and head into town to chat up the villagers and get a marriage line.

Having the same issue on ps5, married Noah on Winter 9 year 2 and so far Eva, Ben, Chaem, and Macy have all had marriage dialogue. Haven’t checked if it’s occurring with the dateable merfolk yet

Having a very similar issue here on PS5, did the Lily romance (not married yet). Lily is labeled as Girlfriend and everyone else is Single. After the New Year’s Bash Alice, Noah and Eva have had marriage dialogue

I have the same issue on the Xbox Series X edition. I married Alice on Fall 11 year 1 (before 1.1 release) now on Spring 17 year 2 (after 1.1 release) Theo is commenting on being married for nearly a week. Leah, Nina, Lily are also commenting on being married.
I haven't played much the last week so in game less than a week may have passed since the update was applied if that info is helpful. I'm not 100% on that but pretty sure

Same issue on PS5, I married luke on Fall Day 22 Year 3. The first week was fine. Then I spoke to charles on Year 3 Winter Day 4. When he said we were married…I dont know why.
Update on other characters saying the similar thing as Charles about being married: Raj, Alice, Suki, Eva, Macy, Pablo, Noah, now Chaem. Its a lot villagers thats claiming to be married to me. Meanwhile Luke isnt saying much marriage dialogue (Winter Day 6 Year 3)
