German Dialog in the Merfolk Storyline got a lot of Dubble Dialog

Nothing mayor but its kinda annoying.
Starting with Ling at the pier when she has her monologue, the last sentence is repeated just the wording is slightly different.
At that point it didn't bother me, but as soon as I entered the merfolk city every character in every cut-scene had at least one sentence they repeat just the wording is slightly different but the meaning is the same
and the worst are the king and queen.
Unfortunately I didn't take screenshots and I currently don't think I'm starting a new save just so I can suffer through that dialog again.
But I would if you told me you fixed it and i should check ^^

There was something that made me curious about the conversation. Cho Oyu talked to me about the secret to upgrade my Lumina Wand but i've upgraded my wand already to osmium quality. Am i even supposed to upgrade the wand before i get this quest? That text confused me a because i can access the underwater upgrades/lab since i've unlocked the farm i think.

Also it looks like i'm able to buy underwater animals but i cannot even ask Slamet to build a underwater barn or coop right now. I even think he had them already in stock before i've unlocked the underwater farm. It would be much better to hide them or at least disable them visually somehow until all conditions are met. I'm working on the first orchestra right now, so i'm not very far into this.

Translation messed up a bit, sounds very weird in german.

I currently have "Pilgermuschel" and "Königsmuschel" in my fridge, but they are not recognized by the recipes since in english they apparently are "King scallop" and "Queen scallop". So any dish that requires "beliebige Muschel" is either "any scallop", "any mussel" or "any clam" in the english recipe.

Furthermore there are 3 different categories in english (Clams, Scallops and Mussels), while in german we just have one for everything: "Muschel" (They just have different names, like Miesmuschel, Jakobsmuschel etc.)

I dont know which heart event this is but Bree asks several people (Betty, Ben and Suki) about a box that they might have found in the recycling center because there are some photos inside and she wants them back pretty badly.

I guess that's the english text, which is totaly fine: You must have missed them.

The other one is a bit more confusing.

I can't even fix that text properly because i'd need the english version, the "Manager" in this sentence still sounds weird somehow.
He's formal instead of informal "ihr Manager Derek" and then is Suki either suddenly male or he talks about another ex which is male "mit meinem Ex".

The Text seem to be related to the heated swimming pool attraction that Derek is building behind the inn and Antonio is jealous because Derek is chatting with Suki.

I'm pretty sure he is named Gordy Ramses in the TV Show at home, even in the german version. I get the joke, it makes me smile.
I could not verify that so far because i dont had Game of Cones in the TV on the day when i triggered the event, neither on the day after but i will check this ASAP.

In the heart event he is called / introduced as Gordon Bleu which is weird if you're used to the other name.
Later the moderator talks about Herrn Sulky, who's that?
In one scene the moderator calls him Gordon, in the next scene he's called Gordy with a slighty different but duplicate text.

It's like multiple persons have been translating the same text and none of them knows what the other one did already.

Hello there,

My wife and I encountered a weird bug with coral island.

She started yesterday on steamdeck with German language and until day 8 everything was fine.

at some point on day 8 or after it everyone suddenly started talking in English, while the menu and overlay is still German.

There is no way to change this back. She switched language multiple times, but the bug is still there.

That's a real problem because she is not good at English.

I then tried to start a game on my account, and pretty much skipped to day 8 and then I talked to a few people.

Then I skipped to day ten, talked, skipped to 13 and talked to people again. So far everything is normal for me.

That is to say I didn't participate in any mayor events discussions or cutscenes.

So we don't really know what trigged this behavior on her profile.

Additional info:

We used a backup save and played on her account again from the 7th onwards.

On the 10th of spring at the time before the festival multiple people started talking english. On the festival itself they talked German again, and after the festival in English again when they talked about the festival and what they liked about it.

The next days, when some still talked about the festival the text was english, otherwise it was German.

On the next festival (tree planting) everyone talked English again when they announced it, and when it finished they'd revert to german.

So it seems that every conversation regarding events is not translated fully yet.

Unfortunately she is again past those points and she didn't take any screenshots. But this affects multiple villagers.

The Translation for Theos Heart events need to be checked again. It seems like, they translated it kinda word to word from english to german.
Noticed this with the Event, where he finds the Piano from the community Center gone and the one where he searches for said piano at the recycling area with Betty and Erika.
For example when he´s asked whats so special about it, he respronds: "Es ist die Mutter meiner Mutter!" What would be in english "Its my Mothers mother!"....and honestly I doubt, that his grandma was a Piano? 😅

While playing the game, I noticed some small issues in the German localization.
For example, when playing a female character, you are still often referred to as male in letters or dialogues. In some dialogue lines, a word was not translated into German at all and is still shown in English. Another thing I noticed is that NPCs sometimes address you formally at first and then suddenly switch to informal speech in the next line.

These are only minor language issues and they don’t really affect or hinder the gameplay itself. Over time, however, they can become a bit distracting, even though you eventually get used to them.
