It's happened a couple times where my character is stuck in a direction. It's happened in the mines both times. I tried the "I'm Stuck" feature and it did not fix the issue.

I just had this occur, I wasn't playing with video on sadly.
I'm playing Steam PC, latest patch. I believe I was interacting with a machine on my farm at the time (I think it may have been the auto sfh but I'm not confident due to being on mental autopilot while taking care of the farm.)
I could move in any direction, but my character remained facing to the right, and no amount of toggling shift would change the speed of my character, who was stuck on slow movement. I finally just quit the game since it was still before 9am and I also had the item processing stalled progress bug for a load of the machines.

Omg! I'm so sorry I missed this. I was playing the steam version. I didn't get any video. I was in the mine once when it happened, but otherwise it's exactly as Quiguki described!

I was trying to clip the last 30 seconds because it happened in the cave of memory, I pressed windows+ctrl+r and that reset me
