Hi, I recently got a steam deck almost specifically to pay coral island. I'm on day 3 and love the game but I'm having such a hard time fishing. It's like impossible. The bar will not go up even if I'm holding x. All it fits it make the zig zag line go up and then the line breaks. Even if the fish isn't fighting it does that. I'm not sure what to do. Any help is appreciated.

Follow up question. I've figured out how to catch fish that aren't in the ocean but the ocean fish bar doesn't move when I fish there. Is that because of the rod I have or something?
