I saw the animations for the deep forest - I think? ( The boulder by the bridge, the flowers by the Monkey shop etc) but the paths are still blocked.
My town is rank C.
Does the town need a higher rank for the deep forest to actually be open?

That sounds like you unlocked the mid forest, not the deep forest.

it's not accessible though, there's a rock in the way

I can't get past the log, or the flowering vines on the other side - that also showed magic happening to them before I woke up
I thought the rock would have disappeared, but I only have a gold pickaxe. maybe it needs an osmium pickaxe?

like I said, town rank doesn't matter. all of the sections of the town open after a certain number of offerings. I don't know why you have that message, but the deep forest opens at 14

Sorry for pinging in here y'all, but @vee looks like it should just disappear on it's own if we have access. I have 14 bundles but my boulder is still there, so i'll try to finish another bundle and see if it triggers then <3
