I adored Coral Island when I got it, so much so that I was addicted. Though I don't know if I planted more than I needed to, or moved too far in the game too quickly. It just started feeling like a chore. To the point, I feel like the only solution for me to get myself playing again is to make another save and just take my time and not plant too much. I don't know, I miss playing. Does anyone have a solution on what to do when a once beloved game starts feeling like a chore🥺

Sometimes taking a break is a good idea. That's what I try to do when it gets to that point usually, and try a different game in another genre to get a change in flavor, as it were
Another thing you could do is make that second save - as long as you don't delete your current one, you can always go back to it.
Alternatively, if you've got too much planted, you could just let it sit and not wear yourself out over it, and just go do what you want to do in the game. This game is pretty forgiving in giving a couple different options for making money, so I can't think of anything you'd permanently lose doing that.

A couple other things to consider.

1. Plants won't wither until the end of their season even if you stop watering them. They'll just stop growing. So if you decide you want to leave them be for a while and go do fun stuff, thats ok.

2. The further along you get, the more automation is available which removes the tedium for a lot of things. Sprinklers with the final attachments ( https://coralisland.fandom.com/wiki/Auto_SFH ) will plant seeds, fertilize, water, and harvest for you! All you have to do is drop in the seeds you want. And thats just with crops. There's also automation available for ranching (auto feeder, auto collector, auto petter) and processing (auto chest). Frees up all that time to do what you want!

Thank you so much, yeah I kept my old save and tried starting again, it helped to move through slower and speed up the day of time back to 60%, and also not taking it so seriously and just enjoying it
