Crash trying to enter Observatory | Stairway Games | Page 1

This crash has happened twice now. First time it was Fall 14 and second time it was Fall 15. If I try to enter the observatory, the game immediately crashes.

My guess is that it has something to do with a Wakuu cutscene? I just gave him a locket, and this would be the first time I enter the observatory after doing so.

I am playing on pc via steam and my game is up to date.

The first time it was the evening in game, and when I started playing again, I had to redo the day, but otherwise nothing was wrong. The second time it was midday in game.

I had forgotten why the game had crashed the first time, so it was a bit of an accidental surprise to get the same crash a second time while playing today. I did not have a chance to grab the crash report text.

You can find the crash log following this path in your Windows Explorer C:\Users\ <username>\AppData\ Local\ProjectCoral\Saved\Crashes (the .xml file) 😉

i tried again to enter the observatory today, after several other wakuu cutscenes triggered yesterday. it still immediately crashed.

the crash happens when i try to enter the observatory. if i walk past it, nothing happens, if i click the enter button, it crashes before i can make it inside.

it paused immediately because the game crashed as soon as i tried to enter

new crash report from yesterday. even after several new cutscenes and relationship changes with wakuu and chaem, i still cannot enter the observatory. immediate crash every time i interact with the door during open hours.

i did try the door during closed hours and it just gives me the open hours info, no crash issues when the observatory is closed

the crash is still happening. i have now caught up to all the wakuu cutscenes except the 10 heart one. i have been 10 hearts with him for an entire season but haven't received the letter that should trigger the cutscene yet.

when i have some time, i'm going to try entering the observatory during the 10 heart cutscene hours to see if i get in or if i still crash.

i wanted to give one more update. when the season changed, i got the letter from Wakuu for the observatory date. on the day, i waiting until the evening and tried to enter the observatory. it once again crashed immediately.

Have you tried to verify the integrity of game files to see if it would resolved? You can try by right-clicking the game on Steam library, properties, installed files, then verify 🙂

If the crash still persists, can you try to enable your FPS then go to the observatory again and send the newest video to us?

You can enable your FPS by:
On Steam, open Steam (top left screen) > Settings > In-Game and make sure Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game is turned on. Chang the In-game FPS counter into “top-right” and enable the In-game FPS counter high contrast.
