Hiya! My friend is having trouble getting into the game. He was able to get to the beginning of the game where he first gets to his house, and i'm assuming the game crashed and he couldnt see a save file when he tried to get back in. so he proceeded to making a new file/character but after clicking yes after character creation, nothing happens. he doesnt even get into the loading screen to start

He has tried reinstalling and verifying file integrity but still can't get passed character creation

@rustic kiln if your friend didn't figure it out yet, run Coral Island as an Administrator, that appears to have worked for another player that had the same issue!

Hi Tibby! Ahh, that's unfortunate. Could you please share screenshot of your friend's Advanced Security Settings for Coral Island?
Here's the step to check it:

  • Have the Coral Island shortcut on the desktop
  • Or, search Coral Island on the Start Menu, and Open File Location
  • Right-click the app
  • Go to 'Properties'
  • Click 'Security'
  • Click 'Advanced'

had another friend i'm game sharing on steam with tried to play and it worked for them fine. unfortunately friend i think wants to just give up 😦

We would like to confirm if they still want to check this. Did your friend use Microsoft Family Sharing or have two Microsoft accounts when playing Coral Island? If so, can you let us know the role of the account (Member or Organizer)?

Hi @rustic kiln ! We've got an update from another player who experienced the same issue. They're finally able to get into the game after character creation by switching to the Administrator user account.

If your friend has multiple Microsoft accounts on their device and is using a non-administrator account to play, this might be causing the issue.
Could your friend try playing through the Microsoft account that is the administrator of their device to see if that works? 😊

yeah i think he uses a personal pc. so he doesnt have different accounts
