Firstly you need to have dating status with who you want to marry, by giving them a locket after reaching 8 heart with them
The blacksmith would sell the locket
After reaching 10 heart with them, youd be abble to buy diamond rings from the blacksmith.
In order for them to accept diamond rings, you have to see all their previous heart event
3 days after you give diamond rings, the marriage day is there. When you head out, the marriage event would happen. Right before that you can still change your outfit
You can choose any outfit for your marriage day, even chicken suit xD it doesnt matter
So yeah its better if you prepare your wedding outfit before the wedding days
