I'm new to coral island and suddenly my chest where I was storing my shears and milk pail have been duplicating?? What is happening?

it's a known bug. and you'll be stuck with them for now- is it inside your barn? if so- take it out

How do we get rid of them? I cannot delete the duplicates from my inventory and they are taking up space.
